How many days to get I-140 receipt notice?

Iam planning to file my I-140 on June 28th and then use the receipt to file I-485 in July.

I have 2 important questions and I need to decide in a day.

1)Do I need I-140 receipt in this case to file 485 or can we just state that in the 485 cover letter (if we haven't received the I-140 receipt yet)?

2)I have heard that it takes 2 to 5 weeks to receive I-140 receipt .If that is the case, concurrent filing of I-140/485 is safer ,else I would be at risk waiting for I-140 receipt as I might miss the cutoff.
Can members tell how many days it took for them to get the I-140 receipt
number as well as hard copy of the I-140 receipt notice?

Kindly help as I need to make my decision in a day.

Check if you want to explore e-filing your I-140. I am not sure, you might get a receipt number immediately

I have also heard that e-filed applications are sent to TSC, but again verify before doing anything.

Any particular reason why you are not filing I-140 & 485 concurrently?

The only reason for filing I-140 early(before July1st) is that I can have a early I-140 receipt date which might help considering the flood of I-140s going to be filed concurrently from July1st.

But I dont want that to delay my 485 filing if waiting for the receipt for long affects it.
Thats why Iam looking for advice.

my I140 got filed last week in premium. Lawyer said she expects receipt by month end. I dont think she got it yet.

Can someone who filed I140 respond...

hi

even i filed 140 PP last week ON 22nd. we got the e-mail and the receipt number in the e-mail. but we did not recieve the hard copy yet.

i am ready to file 485..but lawyer says we need hardcopy of 140 receipt...do we need the hard copy to file 485. can't we just quote the case number and take printout of the e-mail
