Congrats Vikki76. I hope all those in the EB2 India 2004 club get cleared out this rounds.
The next couple of days will be full of this relief. We took a short trip to celebrate. Amazing deals on travel nowadays.

To the waiters, If you are sitting quietly with a current PD, I hope you understand the need to advocate for yourself.

If your PD is not current, then I hope you see the need to advocate in a more general sense for visa recapture. If the advocacy is strong enough, it will succeed. Cultivate a relationship with your congressional aide. You will do this anyway when your PD is current. CIR is a great unknown. Pin your hopes only on that and it may never see the light of day, and if it does and there is no recapture, then worse yet. Keep pushing, no other constructive avenue to channel your energies.

How many times did you call IO ?
First time i called ,IO(Male voice) said my I140 shows EB3 catagory
Today , i called again, IO (Female-Janet), she said ,other officer didnt know what to look for , your application is Preadj. and in line to be assigned to an IO for processing.
I dont know , whom to believe.
Any suggestions???

Thanks ndialani--If you are getting conflicting message from IO, then just call again after 2-3 days. Make sure you have your 140 receipt number at time of calling. 2/3 times will give you what is correct in USCIS system. Also, send follow up email to ncsc clarifying issue
I must have called in total 5-6 times as after a point--roughly after every 10 days to enquire where my application was, Opened SR twice, got congressional help.
Entire month of Sept- my application didn't get pick up at all and I had to nudge them to move thing along ( if that is what happened all)

Thanks alterego...fully understand need for advocacy., Some people are lucky in that their app gets picked up automatically and some have to make things move.

I recieved welcome notice from USCIS at 245pm today. It's such a relief as I was so worried about my I140 was from TSC and my 485 from NSC. EB2 I PD 1/21/2005.

2004 queue is not cleared out. i know atleast 6 cards are still waiting. (2 families total 6 Green cards)
