USCIS has posted new I-485 Employment-Based Inventory Statistics (updated December 11, 2009) on the uscis.gov website

looks like the hold up for the EB3 is April 2001. Once that month clears, then i think the dates will move pretty fast for 2001.

Sincerest thanks for posting this on the forum. Looking at the EB2 ROW & EB1-I numbers looks like we are in for a massive spillover to EB2I, however we will most likely have to wait till the year end. Till the time no spillover numbers are allocated we will really see a fixed date for EB2-I. Lets see what the experts have to say. However I do see a real chance of that atleast people upto 2007 end who missed Jul 2007 will be current for a while (Sep 2010) and will be able to file for EAD/AP this year.

This is in fact a great news for EB3 ROW.

EB2 will have to be current before the end of fiscal year (unless "really Huge" numbers of EB1 and EB2 ROW applications are filed AND adjudicated). However, there is no time for processing of 2007 applications and so only the pending applications (mostly July 2007 filers) will get their GCs (I am talking about EB2 India).

Bad luck for EB2 India PDs past July 2007 as number will spill to EB3 ROW before them unless USCIS moves the date of EB2 India before the last quarter (which does not seem to be likely).

Even post july 2007 filler won't get chance for getting actul GC , they will get a chance for filling filling 485.

There are a total of 110K visas up for grab this year without EB3 World wide. There is demand of less than 70K for these categories. Unless CIS/State think that there will be 30K new applicants for these visas in next 9 months, they need to move the dates of EB2 to post July 2007.

Their analytical skills are seriously questionable, it not their motive behind not moving the EB2 dates.

Thanks for posting this, Jackisback.

Just trying to imagine the potential scenario for EB3I.
Conservatively speaking, entire 2001 should be cleared since the total number is only ~1500. With the annual quota around 2700, technically the date movement should get to at least Feb 2002 by this September.
Hopefully there will be spillover applied (out of pity or otherwise) and the priority date can get to lot more deeper into 2002 by this September.

Any thoughts on the above?

Does USCIS also publish how many I-485 cases it approves for each month by EB Category & Country of Chargeability?

We can use that to get how many visa's are approved for this fiscal year & to calculate the exact number of spillover that will happen in the last quarter.

It seems to me that there is a motive behind the way they move the dates. Considering the previously released numbers, I can see no reason why EB3 ROW hardly moved at the beginning of this quarter, unless they are conspiring to hold back EB3 ROW in order to overflow large numbers of these visas to EB2 I and C in the last quarter. If I am right then EB3 ROW will hardly move for the rest of the year and EB2 I & C will jump forward in the last quarter of the financial year.

Of course, this supposes that there is actual logic behind the movements. A more likely explanation is that they are just not very smart. May God help us all.
