I wonder if I would be qualified under Federal Skilled Worker in the case that I submit the application to CIC before Feb 27, 09 (to fall under the old regulation). Pls advise. I also look under Provincial Program of Alberta (AINP) and my career still falls under Pressure List for the Strategic Recruitment Stream. I think that I will be qualified for the AINP though I have noticed the application still needs to be submitted to CIC after obtaining the certificate from Alberta. CIC will then decide if my application fits in the criteria required by CIC. I am not sure if there will be the possibility that my PR application will be rejected since I should be qualified for Alberta (not qualified for CIC due to the 38 occupations) according to this new regulation. Pls advise. Please also let me know which one would be the best alternatives between (1) applying through CIC by Feb 27, 09 and (2) applying through Alberta (AIPN) and followed by CIC through the Provincial Program. Also, pls advise if I need to submit the police certificate at the same time that I submit the PR Application. Otherwise, could I submit the PR application first and then submit the police certificate later on? Anybody pls help. Thank you very much.
It is Feb27 2008 not 2009. So the deadline is over long back.

So Provincial Program of Alberta (AINP) is the only option left.

Note: Latest news:- Alberta economy also entered a sharp recession. So AINP also may not last long.

Thank you very much for your help and all information. I am putting together the application to Alberta under AINP since I will be in US on H1B visa starting March, 09. I saw that they require the reference letters from all my employers. Could anybody please help me with the reference letter format since I have no idea what has to be in the letter? Please advise if I also need to get the reference letter from my US employer that will start in March, 09. Also, I saw that CIC requires the State Clearance for all the places we stay more than 6 months. Please advise if this State Clearance needs to be Fingerprint Base or Name Base. Also, I wonder if I can send the application to Alberta first upon arriving US in March. 09 and send my first paystub to Alberta later on (probably March 15, 09 or March 31, 09 paystubs). Anybody please help. Thank you very much.

I'm putting together the application for AINP. I actually used to work for three companies in US during my past 6 year H1B. I now come back to work with the 3rd company in US on my H1 Extension. My problems are that I am unable to get all reference letters from all the companies I used to work in US. I am able to get only one reference letter from the 2nd company since the 1st company is not willing to write me the reference letter. For the 3rd company (my current company), I am not sure what to do since I am afraid to tell them that I am apply for AINP and will move to Canada. Please advise what to do to get the reference letter with my current company since I want to get the letter from them without any problems and losing my jobs with my current company. Please advise if that would be a problem if I miss the reference letter from the 1st and the 3rd companies. I also have W2 forms for all the companies I work in US. Can I use W2 forms instead and should it be sent with the application to AINP with the one reference letter from the 2nd company? Also, please advise if the Alberta Office (AIPN) and Canadian Immigration will call up all my US employers and check about my references? Also, please advise if I need to submit all copies of I-797 for all US companies I used to work and how can I make them certified copies. Do I have to notarize them to make them certified copies? Pls help….Thank you very much.
