Audit/Supervised recruitment for folks in finance

Hi,

My firm will file for labor certification for me soon. I am a Ph.D working as a "Quant" in a finance firm.

I have heard that people working in finance (especially in the NYC area which is where I am) end up with audits and supervised recruitment quite frequently.

Does anyone have any first hand experience of this? Any "Quants" in/around NYC who have applied for and gotten PERM recently?
