Question Anyone from Amazon.com

Hi,

My current company has totally messed up my GC processing and I have one and half year left on my H1b. Currently I have offer from one of subsidiaries of Amazon.com. As per HR, Amazon has their immigration department which will handle my all immigration stuff. Is there anyone who has experience dealing with Amazon immigration department? If you can share your experience, would be great. If you do not want to post it in forum, Please PM me.

Thank You,

I have a couple of friends working at amazon, here in seattle. They all rave about the efficiency and dedication of the immigration department/HR.

Default I thought of same with my current employer

which is one of leading IT consulting company with around 8000 employees in USA with dedicated immigration department but they were sitting on my all papers since March'07 and after constant followup got a one line message that your LC application filed on 06/25/2007 as of now i do not know what is going on with application did they file it or it is in advertisement phase ... There are few people who are very happy with that department and other fews are not at all happy with it because they do not share enough information with employee...

Also this company is subsidaries of Amazon so do not know about stability. In future they might decide to integrate it with Amazon in that situation i would endup again starting this GC processing mess from ZERO.

O'boy! You gotta be pretty frustrated to publically question your employer's HR, not only that, to name your employer.

I would have used more discretion if I were you. This is unfair to other H1Bs with this employer, who report a different experience than your's.
