Yes, you can carry a small bag.,
The receptionist (lady) is extremely curt and rude. The officer (man) is very kind and helpful. There is ample parking on the street. Recommend that you dont carry the bag in though. Dont take any drinks / food. And yes, DO remember to switch off the cell phone. Remember, the receptionist is EXTREMELY RUDE and even downright harsh. So go prepared to be kind ![]() ________ GREAT_SQUIRT Last edited by obviously; 08-28-2011 at 07:54 AM. |

This is a very good question. I went to a USCIS center and they said no bags were allowed. However, I could not find anywhere, either on the FP Notice or any signs in the center, saying that no bags were allowed. All I saw was no cell phone, camera, recording devices, drinks, or food was allowed. Also the Notice says the applicant needs to bring ID and it sounds like either Driver's License or Passport should be ok. But in reality, they want to see the passport. Did I miss anything?
When we were at the receptionist, he asked to see our hands to make sure that FP can be taken. When we were getting a ticket for the actual FP, the person again wanted to see our hands. What's the point to check this twice? The receptionist asked us if we were bring cell phones. We said no. And then he asked again, something like are you sure you do not have a cell phone. We said no! Stupid. When it is the turn for a specific group of people to get the ticket, there was no order. People sitting close to the ticket desk were able to get to the front line even though they came later than others. Most people were rushing to get to the front of the line... no order. This reminded me of the chaotic situation of the visa bulliten. How come they did not give the ticket number right when a person comes? Don't you think all of these further indicate mismanagement, imcompetence, and even pure stupidity? Last edited by GC08; 10-13-2007 at 07:42 PM. |

If you are carrying cell phone and u r also not allowed to carry bags, then where do u keep the phones. You can't just leave it home, as u might need it for emergency.
What u guys did? did u leave the cell phones home or what? I will have to go to office after FP, so have to carry my normal day to day stuff, so what u guys suggest. Please let me know.
