Default EAD- Card production ordered

The following is the statement on the USCIS:

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On October 26, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

How much time does it take to get this. I am going to be out of country on Nov 4th. will there be any issue If I cannot make it to the finger printing.

The EAD card should be with you in about a week if my case was anything to go by.
If you simply do not turn up for a fingerprint appointment it will be assumed you have abandoned your adjustment of status application. If you cannot make the appointment be sure and re arrange another one by responding on the notice you will be sent.

Unless you have a notice that you are required to have fingerprints, you can be issued with an EAD without having to go through the fingerprint process.

I have just renewed my EAD for the second time and have never been fingerprinted.

Expect to get an approval notice after 5 days.....hopefully you'll get the EAD cards itself after 3 days from approval notice.

Question Continue GC processing while in India after EAD?

Hi,

Is there any way for my company to continue my GC processing if I relocate back to India and return to the US when it's approved since the GC is for a future date employment?

If yes:
1) How can it be done?
2) Do I have to be employed by my current company that filed for my I-485 after I relocate back to India?

My GC has been filed under EB3/India, my PD is March 2006. I've got my EAD & AP (I filed for I-485/EAD/AP on July 2nd like many others), but considering the retrogression levels, it's probably going to take at least another 4-5 years before the I-485 gets approved.

Thanks,
greencardfever

That's possible and you will do it via Consular Processing. However, remember that rejection through CP has no rebuttal or you cannot file for a Motion to Reopen. Another, if you don't have valid H1 or L1, you cannot enter the US for a long time until you get the immigrant stamp on your passport.

Consult a lawyer for this. It is not an easy process but possible.

Question

Thanks for your reply JunRN.

So if I make the switch from AOS (I-485) to CP (I-824), will I have to continue to work for the same employer (that filed my I-485) or at least be on the same employers payroll when I'm in India?

Thanks,
greencardfever

Default Current Status: Approval notice sent.

I have a question. I see the above status for EAD online. While I have received my EAD 4 days ago, my wife hasnt received yet.

Interestingly, i have recieved my biometrics/fingerprinting appointment, while my wife hasnt got that either.

Anybody experience this behaviour? Any reason why this could happen?

Thanks in advance.

Default Approval Notice

I saw my EAD status - Approval notice sent. What does it mean? does that mean I will receive my EAD card soon ?

I suppose the RN you are talking about is refering to "Receipt Notice(s)"

So basically u got ur ead but ur wife hasnt. and both of ur status online show that both are approved?
