Hi Guys,


I verified my 485 Application status online and this is what I found can you guys tel what could this mean.

My I140 is not approved yet.

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

You may be lucky You can have a GC without I-140 approval. True. Your GC status is subject to I-140 Approval


You may be unlucky, USCIS might have returned your application or there is some RFE etc.

I receive a confirmation for Address change after submitting online form and which I received some where around that time.

My EAD and Advance Payrole are approved but I did not receive Adv Payroll yet, waiting on it for 15 days.

it's advance parole not advance "payroll"

What is your PD and country ? A lot depends on these two factors. Is this the status against your I485 ? or 131 ?

I asked her if it is change of address they sent she is not sure but she said usually it is the card when Current Status: is "Document mailed to applicant."

She put in a service request for me and she some one is going to contact me in 30 business days.

Since you are EB3/2004/India it is probably not I485 approval unless you got EXTREMELY lucky and they processed your application out of turn.

It could be a GC. I'm guessing.. My friend also had got the same information today. He was BD national

Some keywords from his receipt# is

It says some package is mailed. Weclome .. Permanant residence etc

and ADIT processing etc.

Do you see these buzz words.

They flushed my application toilet. I need to go to India urgently, no AP no news.

The status of our AP applications is also "Document mailed". I hope it means approval is mailed and not some RFE.

This is due to the change of address. The receipts which were returned to USCIS will be mailed back to your new address based on ur address from Ar-11 database. Nothing to worry. I had the same status and today I received the receipts which were returned back to them from my previous address.

As far as forum knowledge,Usually 485 approval updates would be either we sent u a welcome notice or approval notice sent or card production ordered etc.But when document mailed etc,i think it might be a RFE on ur 485 or may be ur AP document(by mistake,updated on ur 485).If u r extreme lucky,it could be ur GC!!!!

Anyway wish u goodluck,
Please update ur post when u recieve the document mailed by USCIS,

We recently filed AR-11 for which we also recieved receipts from USCIS to my new Address. What would this mean. Is it that they are trying to send a new copy of I-485 receipts again...
