485 Approved No Card yet

My 485 got approved on Aug 6th 2010 and I received my Approval notice on Aug 14h. I haven't received the card yet.

My 485 status changed from "Initial Review" to "Post Decision Activity".

Anyone with similar situation? Does anyone know what to do now or do I need to wait for USCIS to mail the card?

Under Post decision activity it will mention a date :

"we approved this petition and sent it on date -->

This date is when they mailed your green card.

If you do not receive it in 7 days after that date (that is mentioned on "post decision activity" message, you need to check with your local post man/post office and then consider infopass to see what has happened.

The card comes in a "neutral looking envelope" with "return service requested"marked on it and upper left corner has address of Nebraska or Missouri (two places where they are produced). Nothing else on that envelope (it is slightly large than norma envelope): keep looking for it in your mail.

Post Decision Activity

On August 6, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I received the Approval notice on Aug 14th. Nothing after that. I never missed any mail from USCIS till now.

There no other status change between Initial Review and Post Decision Activity.

I have Infopass appt next week. Let me see if they have any info on this.

I am in the same boat, My I-485 was approved on Aug 5th, so far no cards received.
Also, i received SR (which i opened on 8/3) response 2 weeks back "saying my I-485 was approved and my application is waiting for bio-metrics for whichi will receive an ASC appointment later" so far i have not received bio-metrics appointment either.

I guess, i should wait for 30 days and take an info pass or open a SR.

I am on a similar situation. Approved on Aug 3rd. Got a approval notice I-485 in post. Called USCIS and they mentioned to wait till Sep 3rd and if I do not get the card to call back after sep 3rd.

Let's wait for another 3 days and will update what happens.

I also opened SR on 08/04 and got reply from USCIS saying waiting for bio-metrics.

Theres a butt load of cases in this similar situation including myself where a case was transferred to another service center. It appears they can't find or update fingerprints for such cases. Its a shame but another glitch from USCIS

I got an e-mail as below.. I did not receive any e-mail about approval... What is the sequence.. Approval followed by card production or card production followed by approval??

On September 1, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I am on the same boat. My 485 was approved on 8/6 but no card yet. I have opened an SR. My approval notice says that I should receive my card within 3 weeks but the automated message at USCIS as well as the customer rep there says that I should wait for 60 days. I insisted on opening the SR since the approval notice clearly says I need to contact USCIS if I did not have my card within 3 weeks. I was told that I would get a response within 30 days for my SR.

485 approved on Aug 20. Welcome notice said I'll get the card in 3 weeks. So far no card yet. Are there any others in this situation? People who posted earlier on this forum, please post if you guys received the cards.

I am still waiting for my card, but I received a FP notice yesterday. I think I'll get my card once I am done with my FP.

Thats great. Atleast something is happening. On your welcome notice, did it say that you'll need new finger prints? My welcome notice said I'll get my card in 3 weeks, did not mention anything about FP.

Even I got an FP notice 3 weeks after getting the welcome notice. Then they also updated the status to Card Production Ordered and Post Decision Activity. Finally got the card after more than a month. I still have to go for FP later this month. I don't know what the hell is going on but at least I got the card.
