Damn what do we do now who are on EAD --that sucks ..some stupid guy does something and everyone gets impacted.

I believe this may be only for new license applications. Mine was expiring last year when I was one EAD. When I went to renew it at their office they did not ask for any document. Only vision test and gave 8 years license.

This is trouble for lot of people who works in VA on EAD

Hope they will make changes soon.

You got lucky there my wife renewed her last month they have specifically asked for EAD and gave license until it is valid.

On side note your PD look current ..looks you are on same boat like me waiting for getting greened ..i thought i was the only one who is still waiting ..with PD being current from Julyhttp://immigrationvoice.org/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif.

This is going to be a big issue for a lot of family in VA who are on EAD. My wife's license was renewed a couple of weeks back based on her I-94 (since the EAD renewal did not come two days after the previous one expired). We hope there will be some clarity on what they can accept as proof of legal presence.

Why just people wth EADs? Why not all people with immigration paperwork.

I hate when they make only small fixes and we get into small problems. Why don't they simply tell us-- we do not want you. Go back.

Stop these anti-immigrant rules. If we leave, USA will lose lot of jobs. A lot of jobs wiil be outsourced.

It seems they know that July 07 filers have EAD and waiting for GC is frustrating that people will start drinking 24/7

We have not reviewed this issue yet in detail. But there is no reason why this issue cannot be fixed.

Check out IV's past efforts on Michigan DL issue. If you search for past threads, you can view the history of that effort and how IV was successful. It was another example of IV success. Most work was done by the MI state chapter members under IV core's guidance and they met local lawmakers and officials to help themselves. IV member was also invited for testimony to explain DL issue to the local lawmakers. Likewise if our VA chapter members feel this issue is important to them, there is no reason why state chapter members cannot work on this issue and fix it.

Anyone know that H1 Receipt will be accepted for a temporary license of one year in VA?
