When does the 180 days clock for Namecheck start

Hi
With so many dates around, I am wondering when the 180 days clock for Namecheck starts. Is it one of the following or am I missing the point

1. Is it 180 days from the day we submitted our I-485 (AOS) application.
2. Is it 180 days from the notice date on our I-485 (AOS) application.
3. Is it 180 days from the day the Priority date becomes current. If this is the case then how do they account for the back forth of the PDs
4. Is it 180 days from the day the processing date of our I-485 becomes current.

If it is none of the above then what would it be.

My guess would be FP, as that is when the data gets sent to FBI

None of the above.

It is 180 since your Name was submitted to the FBI. (In usual circumstances within 2 weeks of your notice date). You can get this information using an Infopass or talking to an IO on phone.

Also, giving your FP's has nothing to do wth NameCheck submission!

Yes, when mail is sent for FP for I485, same time they must be sending mail (may be electronically) to FBI for Name Check - my guess.

This is not true. My name check was initiated once the 485 data entry was completed at CSC (case was transferred from NSC to CSC) and the case transferred back to NSC. Hence my namecheck was initiated on Sept 23rd,2007 even though my FP was done on Jan 8th, 2008.

When did mail related to FP originated from USCIS - defenitely earlier than Jan 8, 2008? Was it Sept 23rd,2007?

I am not doubting you but how did you know exactly when the name check was initiated?
