Initially I think 3012 will raise it to 15 and then increase it over a 5 year period to completely take off any limits. Now only 7% of total visa is allowable for any particular country.

You might be correct. When the EB2 is current the dates will move forward for EB3. However, that too will again be dependent on the CO assuming that soon the EB2 inventory will be exhausted and that numbers might have to be spilled over to EB3. Either way lets not wait for that. As you said 3012 is clearly our only hope (both for EB2 and EB3).

Hi,

My brother had an interview with U.S. embassey in Bangkok on Jan 12 for EB3. They asked for 2010 employer income tax return. He submitted the document 2 weeks ago. What will happen next? How long will it take before he get the VISA? Could they deny his case even thought there is no financial and document problem? Anyone can answer?

Not sure when the next "Pending Employment-Based I-485 Inventory" will be made available. Might give an idea on how active new filings are and might present some details to estimate the trend. Though this will chance with HR3012 initiatives are successful. Good to see so many posts on approval in EB2, but EB3 is another story.

How come there seem to be 1984 pending cases for EB-1 in 2010 and 5578 in 2011? I'm sure it cannot be the number of people filing in EB-1. Is it more of the spillover visas that are still available? But it does not make sense as it states that these numbers indicate pending 485 inventory
