Did anybody try calling TSC customer service using POJ method today? It seems, they are flatly refusing to give any case detail. They say that if the case is pending, open a SR. Did anyone also experience the same thing ?

I did manage to get hold of a CSR this AM and transfered me to a Level II support. He was repeatedly telling me that Name check & FBI Finger print are same and don't see my case cleared. Last week another IO told me I have cleared my Name Check. Soon after I did Biometrics last year, had a soft LUD on I485, which I guess means that Fingerprint check has come back from FBI. Even if you manage to talk to some one, these are the kind of conflicting details they provide.

Did you try calling today? What are the options you used?

I was thinking of calling today but if I will get the same IO as you then no point in wasting time.

Few questions

1) Did IO ask you your receipt #
2) After taking taking the receipt # did he/she ask you what is the problem with your case

3) When you mentioned that you were calling about 485 status , did he/she tell you that you need to dial some other option and that he/she does not give status update.

Yes, you are right. I would suggest get an Infopass appointment and check with those IOs as they maybe able to give you more information.

The CSRs are sort of questionable item. If you call again, you may get a totally different response.

The more I think the more I am convinced that they are doing this in order to confuse us so we stop calling them and they all can chill!

Hi,

This morning i called to vermont service center to check the status of my I485, she says my file is with officer and i will hear soon. Does any one got this type of answer and what would be next?

I got similar response from an IO at NSC, and I got my approval in a week after that response from IO. Good luck.

You should hear "You have reached the TSC of USCIS…" OTHERWISE you have been bounced to NCSC. NCSC only sees what you see when you login to check case status at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp i.e. you will not get any useful information out of them.

called them at 2:30pm using POJ method,my call went to TSC and the lady told me my namecheck was cleared.
at least somewhat releif...this is my first succesful attempt after calling them 5 times from last week....waiting for approval

I called TSC yesterday and got hold of CSR immediately (Less then a min of wait...) Then she put me on hold twice for total of around 10 min (After 5 min she came back and told me she has to do some more research on my case so please wait).........and then she told me they do not have any information about my name check so please contact FBI directly..... and she also told me that probably they will not provide you any information.... so I asked do you have any information whether my name check was initiated.....to that she told me that they do not have any information on file for namecheck.....

I called the USCIS - TSC, today re. my EAD renewal. The lady who answered the phone was very cordial - and informed that my app. is in the que. and an IO has not been assigned to the case yet. She also said, TSC is heavily back-logged with EAD apps.

She also mentioned - there is no NC on EAD renewal - so, that's not an issue.

She estimated that it may taken within the next 30 days, for my case to be assigned to an IO. Approval decisions are usually made the same-day, for EAD renewals (as per the rep.).

EAD Renewal applied - Jul 7th / Receipt Date - Jul 8th, 2008
Paper-filed through my firm's lawyer

whatever POJ means....here is how to get to the IO diectly...
call 18003755283 - and type 1,2,2,6,2,2,1

u will talkto an IO..

I called for kicks....my Received Date on notice is July 24th 2007, but she said The Status shows - "We received case on Sept 19, 2007..blah blah". so that is what they will go by...for processing date...That was sad to know...
However both Dates are outside of July 16 2007 processing times at TSC...so wait and watch I guess...

She said that once you are withing processing times, and don't receive anything for 30 days..U can call again...

When will new processing dates be released, current one for TSC shows that posted date is July 15th, 2008...thats 1 month back...dont they release these every 2 weeks?

I have called TSC and the IO was so rude. She was not willing to talk any thing but say "You are out of processing time" wait and see.

My RD is July 18 2007 and the system says Sep 10 2007, which is BS.

I have asked about my FP which was done last week and she was not willing to answer.

I have been controlling my self, but recently I can see frustration in my self.

Good luck for others who are getting it or about to get their GC.
