Good aftrnoon folks,
Need to know if it is a good idea to call USCIS and open info pass, any inquiry to expedite your case or rather you would prefer let your case follow the BAU process ? I have been in the status of " Request for Evidence Response Review " since May 21 2009. Please advice if one of you are in the same boat.

I am in the same boat as well. I went through the thread for May 2011 approvals and it seems a lot of them started receiving approvals in the first week of May. There is also a sticky advising us what to do. I plan to wait till the 15th or so and then play it by the ear. Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

Guys, please consider these before you try to reach USCIS about your case status. I did some of the things here and had seen people doing the rest. This is truly my opinion and I'm pretty sure that most of it is the way how it works
During first few weeks: Raising a Service Request, Infopass, contacting USCIS second level on phone, contacting your congressman for help: Please don't do any of this stuff. All these are meant to give you the current status of your application. By any means they will not help in speeding up the processing your application. For all of these, you will receive a reply with the current status 'under review', 'in que to get assigned to an officer' .... Nobody can say what order they process the cases, it could be as simple as say - you have 30 agents and 3000 cases become current this month so each agent gets 100 cases and they have 30 days to process them. Please be patient and try not to worry toomuch about it for at least first 2 weeks. USCIS will approve most of the cases with 30 days (at least 90% cases). If your case is in not approved in 30 days, they may need additional information. If you get passed at least 3 weeks, you may consider doing one of the above to know at least the status of the application. Good luck Last edited by samswas; 05-17-2011 at 03:40 PM. |

My wife's case status shows card production ordered for last 2 yrs. When I opened a SR last year to inquire about this. They sent her another finger printing appoint notice. The status still is the same showing Card production ordered.
My status shows Initial review We are current in the June Bulletin. Any words of wisdom? |
