Extremely tensed..pls help..status update on I485

Dear Friends...

I keep getting weird updates from USCIS..

Today got emails stating, that mail sent to be was returned back today, they asked me to call and update my address.

Strage part is i got communication from them even on Saturday (reply to my service request).

We called the customer service and spoke to LEVEL 2 IO, who said they will open SR but cant tell what the notice is. Can anyone pls suggest how will i know what it is in the mail sent.

The same status for both my wife and me...could it be fP notices...we got our notice but our lawyer did not get. My lawyer on file for 485 changes when i moved with AC21 and we did send it G28.

How do i check the lawyer on file, will a infopass work. Please suggest as i am really tensed , how to proceed.

You are assuming we know the history of your case .... what processing stage it is - what are the details. You have to write something in your question for someone to answer and help you .

Infopass i the way to go... I was in somewhat similar situation...but clarified via Infopass...SR via CS is almost useless and time consuming..

Please find my info below...

Intial PD EB3 - India - PD - may 2004
New 140- approved 08/2011 in EB2
Interfiled and the PD is current now EB2-may 2004
FP - 09/2011

Yesterday i got email stating:"On October 3, 2011, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.


During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators."

I am not sure what mail was returned bcause we got a communication even on Saturday for the service request. My guess is the FP notice (attorney copy) might have been returned. We went for infopass today and they did not give much info.

how can we find out what mail has been sent. I am concerned if it might something time sensitive. Please guide us thru.

Did they say what doc was it...i finished infopass and they said they could nto find any RFE on my case. So they dont know it might be.
