I-140 Inquiry

My company's attorney claims that she sent in an Inquiry on the status of my I-140 about 3 weeks back to USCIS. I am one of the July filers who has yet to see any change in status for my I-140 application.

I have been checking the status of my case & there has been no change in the status even after the inquiry. My question is that if the USCIS receives an Inquiry about my application will it show a change in the status informing that they have received an Inquiry?

How long does it take USCIS to adjudicate a case after an inquiry?

No, an inquiry does not result in status change. It does not result in soft LUD change either. My attorneys sent a streaming inquiry to TSC and also opened a SR with TSC for my pending I-140. I contacted the congressman's office and they also inquired. None of them resulted in status change. These all happened about 40 days ago.

Finally, USCIS showed mercy and today approved my I-140 petition filed @ TSC with a receipt date of August 6th 2007. TSC website is broken and it didnt show any status change. I came to know this from my attorney's email today. I dont know what triggered my I-140 action but am glad that finally they showed mercy!

Thank you! Atleast three of my colleagues that applied along with me in August got their I-140 approved seven months ago. It sure eases the anxiety a bit!

i had a I140 amendment that was pending until just a couple weeks back.
my attorney opened a service request late january.
my received date is august 6th 2007 too.
the good thing with service request is when you open it, you get a confirmation number along with a notice showing your current status. for me, the notice said that uscis would respond within 60 days and they did just a couple days before the 60 day limit.
mine is with TSC and the uscis website does not show the update yet.

I had a soft LUD on 4/20/09. but don't have any confirmation number for my service request. what does the soft LUD indicate?
