And why should others should support this idea? You are the guys creating a division among the immigration community!
i agree for ur reasoning

Already there is GC quota for elite people - EB1. If you are adding more value to the US try that. Just to have a US master and separate quota is stupid.

Question Is this typical Indian mentality ?

Is this typical Indian mentality? We can’t be happy when we see ‘’another Indian’’ being successful? We can’t be happy to see ‘’another Indian’’ grow? We can’t be happy to see ‘’another Indian’’ getting a job which probably looks better than our own. We can’t be happy to see ‘’another Indian’’ buying a good car or a home.

Why are we so jealous of each other and does not support each other hence supporting the entire community?

Why do we always try to find a reason to divide? North VS South, Tamil Vs Telgu, Gujrati Vs Bengali, Eb2 VS Eb3, ABCD VS FOB’s and may be 10 000 other reasons.

Why don’t we get out of the ‘mental state’ where the very first thing we check for is –‘if I support this IDEA will I get my GC in 2 months or not’ if the answer is yes – here comes out my typical desi mental which will find a ZILLION reason to sink the IDEA. We can’t talk with our VALID view point but we are EXPERT at attacking someone personally. We were not united back in India’s golden age and we still are not united today.

I am not surprised but we call ourselves highly skilled professionals but we know what we are? Don’t we???

For the OP – if this was just done for fun its good. If it was done to counter the other thread with the Idea of supporting master’s degree for GC quota then OP should read my views above and give it a second thought.

Now those who would enjoy giving some reds or nasty comments – please do so…….at least I will be helpful in taking out all the garbage frustration outta you all.

Mera bharat mahaan, soo (100) mein se nabbe (90) baiman fir bhi mera bharat mahaan.

Jai Ho !!!

Default Yeah right...

California is so far ahead economically- we'll have a $21 billion deficit and perhaps the privilege of being the state with the highest taxes soon (plan on beating "Taxachussets" to the tax game?).

In addition to being way down on education.

But don't let that sound like all doom and gloom for California - we'll still have ample of sunshine.

thanks for those who taught me the lesson of being "united"!!! its something i never heard of, nor seen in life!!!

people talk about dividing the community crap! bcoz they are not being directly benefitted by this proposal.

Now take a moment, sitback, relax and think what chances do we have for an EB overhaul?
and how does it compare against piece meal reforms like the one we are talking about?

if we have the mentality of all or nothing, then you folks know very well what we will end up with.

Good luck browsing the visa bulletin for next 10 years folks!!!

Like cartman would say, "Screw you guys!! i am going home". I am thinking of going solo on this issue and see how far i can take this.

like minded guys welcome!! others pls excuse

Just now got off the phone from Mr. President.

He assured that he would look into the requests posted in this specific thread personally and would ask Janet to work on a high priority basis.

Default The main point is ..

The main point is where the quota is coming from. If every special interest group lobby to carve out a niche for themselves out of the already low and strained 140000, I'll oppose the measure. If you asking to go capless and outside the 140000, then go for it. We'll have fewer people in line and it would be beneficial to everybody. So US Masters, San Diegoans, Corolla owners go for it.

Yep if your Special Interest Group (SIG) is striving to get additional quota excluding 140,000 we all will support in whichever way possible for your cause. Just stay out of 140,000 and talk more...
