Last Date of Entry into teh US

Hi,

My wife and I travelled to Canada via road and came back into the US via road from Canada. At this entry point there was no stamp in our passport or no new I94 was issued (which i beleive is normal). on the I485 form i am being asked the last date of entry into the US. What would be the last date of entry into the US? the date/place on the I94? Or the last date/place when we drove back into the US?

Also my wife's status on her I94 is F1 D/S and when we undertook our trip to Canada, her status changed to H1b since her company filed for H1b. I am not sure which details to use
