Changing jobs but would like to have my current employer file instead of future

Hello Everyone,

I have been on H1b since Nov 12 working in a EVC model. My employer is willing to start EB2 filing and is in the process of getting PERM application ready. Meanwhile the Client has offered me a Full Time position in a couple of months (for paperwork etc). I prefer my current employer to file for GC rather than the client as the client has lousy corporate lawyers while my current employer has a very good history of filing among other things. Also the client may not initiate the GC process right away and I may not have a say in things.

Is it possible to let my current employer continue with PERM filing, get 140 approved and then transfer it to the new Client job?
