Changing Department in Same company

Hi Guys,

I am considering taking a different position within the company, its same title as my current one just a different department. I have an approved I-140, would this change reset the process and require a new Perm or the GC process stays same.

The question is very generic and difficult to answer. Unless someone knows the specifics of the case it may not be possible.

yes and no. It depends on the class code job classification filed and interpretation of the definition of same or similar job that was advertised in the labor . Hope that helps.

Usually internal HR is able to answer this question for you. What did internak HR say? If you are the same company in different department, the new cannot be much different from the old job. Talk to your new boss and ask him to get this clarified for you.
