Default GC Processing Dates

Hi All,
If some knows, they can tell me.

I applied for GC through my previous company in 2004 under RIR category. I have already recieved my 45 days letter.

I changed my job and did apply for GC again through PERM 2005. Currently two seperate GC processing is going on.

What i wanted to kknow is can i apply the Processing date of Prev GC to this current GC process ? If yes at what stage ?

Thank You

You can keep the priority date after your I140 is approved.

Default Yes..

You have to get I140 cleared for the first labor to port the priority date for the next labor.

The I-140 should be approved from the first labor but job description or EB category does not matter. It doesn't have to be the same.

But in your case it seems like you left the previous company before getting I-140 approved hence you cannot port the PD.

Green Card is intention of future employment. I donot think, it should matter, if the beneficiary is in the company or not. As long as the employer is willing to file, it is fine. I think when u get the EAD one should be employed with the company. Am i right ? Can any one confirm this
