Dear IVians,

Sorry for the late response. We got our 485 case approved on Oct 22, received welcome notice and CPO emails and finally received our Green cards in the mail on Oct 29.
This forum and trackitt have helped us so much in our pursuit for the GC, answering all our questions and frustrations along the way.
Sorry for not having made this posting earlier but we were in india for 2 months due to my father's critical situation. My wife had to go to chennai twice and I had to go to chennai once for our H1 visa stampings. We were at a point in which we didn't know whether we could reenter the country if they rejected our visas as we hadn't applied for the APs in time.
Anyway, God heard our prayers and we've been greened at a time that we needed it the most. It was a bumpy ride all along the way, with my I-140 approved initially then rejected, MTR which took more than a year to come through, 2 separate RFEs for medicals, birth certificate and Employment verification letter...not to forget, a letter to our congressman.
A lot of thanks to my employer for helping us out during this tough times and for their patience.
I wish you all the very best for the GCs, hang in there. It's when times are tough that pleasant surprises happen!

Congratulations!!!

I was wondering, if your chargeability is Malaysia, why did it take you this long to get a GC in EB2. Were you previously in some other category/chargeability?

Vinzak, I believe the answer to your question is in the OP. ..."with my I-140 approved initially then rejected, MTR which took more than a year to come through..."
