Default Moonlighting on H1...any physicians there?

I have an H1b with a university with teaching campuses in 4 hospitals. One of the hospital is offering me moonlightings. I was curious if I can moonlight on my current H1b visa.

I'd appreciate the advice

Thanks

Default iv-physicians

please join our group
click on the link in my signature
please also provide all the requested info
this includes your name/location/contact info and GC status
we are an active chapter and you will find help there!

you cannot moonlight on your H1 as far as i know
however within the same campus etc people have done it
usually you require a second H1 though, by your description that may be the case.
if you employer were the same maybe they could put up another LCA?
however the other hospital will likely be a different payer.
best to ask this question to an attorney that deals specifically with physician issues.

Default Best is to

work with IV. Eradicate retrogression.

Then you will be able to moonlight and provide a far larger service to the medical sector.

Default You can moonlight

you can moonlight provided you receive pay from the same employer and your earnings are reported as sessions on the pay stub and provided your program director considers the moonlighting responsibilities not substantially different from the training program requirements
for example if you are an oncology fellow and you are moonlighting on a oncology ward it may be ok, but you cant work on a surgical ward or CCU or ER

I do not think so, You can have as many h1s as you can, but you can work on one h1 at a time.

Yes...
your pd should certify that the additional responsibilities were within the scope of your training program if at all there is an audit or a question from UCSIS
secondly most programs the PD wants to know if their fellows are engaging in moonlighting activities so that your number of hours worked matches 80 hour work week
(In our program before somebody is allowed to moonlihgt they are supposed to get permission from PD )
