If you have done your masters in the USA then canada is better otherwise go to mexico. Do a search in IV forum, I have read the canada and mexico stamping experience from start to finish.

Thanks wandmaker. I did my masters here....I didn't think that would be handy until now
![]() I can't find any appointments in Canada...I've been looking for the past 4 weeks and nothing came up...I spend $1.59/min for a call to find out the same information as the one online ![]() Mexico seems to have some available for first week of december...probably I will go with that...do you have any comments on the matamoros/Nogales/ etc? |

All,
What is the earliest appointment that are currently available for H1 visa stamping at various border posts (Mexico or Canada). Today's date is Nov 16th 2007. If anyone has recently scheduled an appointment, is any available the week of Dec 17-21? Thanks. Last edited by looivy; 11-16-2007 at 04:06 PM. |

You can choose either Matamoros or Nogales - depends on where you live and how you commute. if you have a proper paper work, you will be fine. good luck!

I'm planning to get my visa stamped in Tijuana. Can anyone please provide any recent experience?
![]() May be this is a stupid question! Do they return the passport after the application for visa stamping is made, if there's a delay due to PIMS? I'm thinking about coming back to US if theres is a delay and can go back and get the visa stamped in passport, when I get a PIMS clearance notification. Please provide some valuable info. Thanks Last edited by calif; 03-08-2008 at 03:41 PM. |

The above blog doesn't have up to date information. I had my visa appointment last month and it went very smooth. I felt confident too not only about the interview but also about the surroundings......thanks to the blog below.
