I got my I-797 for my H1 extension.But I-94 # on the extension is different than the one stapled to my passport.The difference is only with the first digit.Instead of 3 it is 2.

Should this be changed before travelling ?

I had the same issue. My attorneys got it corrected and USCIS sent the new approval with the correct I-94.
I am not sure if it would cause a problem (different I-94) but i got it corrected anyway.

About 2-3 weeks after the attorney asked for the correction.
