Question about returning I-94

Hello Folks...
This could be a silly question but want to make sure.

which I-94 should I return at the airport while flying back home?

I was on F1 from 2001 to 2004 ...have a I-94
2004 to 2007 H1B .... I-94

2007 to 2010 ..... I-94 (I think this is what I have to return ...)


Please let me know your thoughts.

I have approximately the same dates and status as you and I just returned from India. My attorney asked me to hand over the original white I-94 ( as opposed to the I-94's on the 797 notice). In my case its the F1 I-94 as I have not travelled out of the country after AOS to H1- B.

I have the same question. I still have my F1 I-94 attached to the passport but I think I need to give the I-94 from my I-797 while departing US.

I-94 is a departure record and even I 797 says to staple the new I94 with the one available (if any).

Experienced ppl please clarify this.

I have 4 I-94s. The one when I entered US and the other three from the three H-1B extension approvals.

I am going end of this week and I am giving all 4 I-94s back. I have stapled all of them together.

Note that all I-94s have the same admission number, the other three signify the extension of dates which point to my legal stay in the USA.

I am keeping the small corner piece of I-797A, which was beside I-94 as part of my records since it records the extension date as well.

read instructions on i-94 .it is mandatory to return all i94 while going out of country.
