Passport not returned

I attended my F1 visa renewal at Chennai consulate on 10th Dec. My case was pending under 221G. The case status was changed to "SEND PPT" on 6th Jan and I submitted the passport to VFS on the 7th. It has been 7 working days after I submitted my passport and it has not been returned.

Any similar experiences? Please post.
