Default H4 to F1 Stamping

My wife had changed her status from H4 to F1 about an year ago. She is getting the funding....We are going to India and she will need the visa stamping.

Can VO ask her why she is not attending the school on H4? Or what would be the best way to justify the change of status?

Also, as I am in the process of GC, what implications this could have on her chances of getting F1.

Please share your experiences here...

Before they ask any questions, mention that you are a returning student. they will ask for verification that your wife is studying. you need to provide transcripts, a letter from the international office, and a letter from the department. also be sure to have the sevis receipt. you also need to show source of funding, so you can give your bank documents, and you also need to furnish a letter that you are supporting her. remember, she is already in F1 status, so the VO will issue a visa.
if you dont mention that you are a returning student, etc. then they will grill you with too many questions and might reject the visa application.

As I will also be going for my H1 stamping, can we both (for H1 and F1) go to the same VO? I was planning to go separately but read that few people (under the similar situation) grouped.

Any help?
