Default Multiple Entry Visitor Visa Question Please Respond...

Hello Friends,

I would like some advice from those of you who have been in the same situation or have knowledge regarding visitor visa. My parents have 10 year visitor visa that will expire in Aug 2010. Over Last 8 years or so they have come and stayed with us Four times. All the time they stayed with us for a period of 6 months except for once they stayed 11 months (2nd time in 2005). At the time we applied for extension and USCIS did approve the extension. My parents travel with a confirmed return ticket and this time also they plan to do the same.

Each time they came to USA - there was a gap of at least 15 months to 2 years. Last time they were here with us during May 25th to Nov 23rd. In the mean time, they want to come here and spend time us and their new grandson whom we welcomed few months ago. I plan to call then in Aug/Sept 2(i.e. away from USA before reentering).

I want to know if there is a period of time that a visitor has to be away from the country before he/she reenters USA

Has anyone you come across same situation? And if so when your loved ones visited you again did they get 6 months period on I94 again?

Please submit your sincere opinions,

Regards,
Jay

ANS: No, They can visit as many times as they want and depart before the I-94 expires.

I personally did not come across similar situation but AFAIK its the IO's sole discretion to determine the length of stay. Also a word of advice, its not prudent to mention about taking care of the grand kids as it could be interpreted as "baby sitting" job in the eye of an IO.
Good luck!!!
