After Green Card
Is it a mandatory requirement to update employer after receipt of GC

It is not mandatory but its good to let them know who is in control

I am assuming yours was not AC21. If you had got GC through future employment but did not join/work as a employee of that company post GC then your intent is wrong so essentially USCIS might see this as a fraud case.
