Default Renegade ICE Field Officer?

I was wondering...who is first in the chain of command, Homeland Security or ICE? We received a letter telling us to appear at the local ICE field office for a meeting concerning our Withholding for Removal which we got from an immigration judge in 2004. We never got a letter from Homeland Security about this meeting, or that there was a problem with our Withholding so you can imagine our shock when we got to this meeting and we were told that we had 4 weeks to prove that we have applied to go to a third country! After all this time???We have never done anything illegal..ever......and now all this. Its like ICE is trying to overturn to judges orders by using fear and intimidation to get us to remove ourselves from the country because they couldn't legally do so in 2004. He kept telling us that since we have withholding we are illegally in this country. Is this a renegade ICE officer or do you think this is really coming down from Homeland Security, because normally they would write a formal letter stating their reasons etc..... This officer did not mind expressing his distaste for Immigration lawyers and judges, who he said, bend the rules in order to push their clients ahead of the line. If we have withholding from a judge, can they still deport us or force us into another country? Also, when we got to the meeting, he didn't verify our ID's or respect our privacy by having another family in the room for the same meeting..he spoke to both families simutaneously. He wrote the date of our next meeting on a post-it-note. Something doesn't smell right.

Default take this elsewhere

Hello, this forum is frequented by LEGAL employment based immigration aspirants. It is likely that you will not get good advice here. I suggest you take your question to a lawyer or someone else who understands your case. As for illegal activities and cases in which people may have broken the law for immigration, those people will not find any sympathy from anyone here (including me).

wish you luck outside the US if you have to go out.
