Default Visitor visa for parents: H1B which is going to expire

I'm currently on H1B which is going to expire in Jan 20 2010 and applied for H1 extension. I also have EAD which I'm not using. Can I use my EAD card to sponsor my parents on Visit to US. Since I don’t know when I will get my H1B extension and if I use my EAD card to sponsor the visa will my status be changed to EAD.

Thanks

You do not need to use your EAD to sponsor your parents. All you need to send is your extension receipt notice along with other supporting documents.
