Advanced Parole renewal process and attachments

My AP expires in October 18 th Before how many months it can be renewed??

USCIS is clearly requesting for two passport size photos with AP application.
It is surprising that most people don't even read basic instructions with the USCIS forms, and go on asking questions and sometimes giving (wrong) suggestions in IV. Yeah, it takes a few minutes to look through the instructions but searching/writing/replying/ doubting/making mistakes/giving red dots/ etc in IV takes more time, I think.

Me and my wife applied for AP renewal on the same date, my wife received the receipt notice but I haven't received mine yet. It's been almost 10 days since we sent the documents to USCIS Nebraska center. even the check isn't cashed out yet. Did this happen to anyone? any suggestions guys??

I am preparing I131 (AP) renewal application for me and my family. For my son, who is 8 years old, do I need to fill "Part 9. Signature of Person preparing the form, if other than the applicant" since I am preparing this form? OR can I just sign Part 8 on-behalf of my son?

G-28 form says it needs to be filled in case if you use Attorney or Representative. Just wondering whether I need to fill a G-28 form for the above AP renewal application for my son since I am filling Part 9 in his application.

Can somebody clarify? Thanks for your help.

I don't know if you are filing online then I am sure that you don't have to go through all these hassles. I filed two times for all of us online and I got AP in 3 months both times.

I have a question with regard to AP renewal. My I-485 was sent to local office for interview in Feb 2009 and my case was preadjucated since the dates werent current , my card wasnt issued. I am in California. My PD is Nov 2005.

The question I have is, when I filing for my AP renewal , do I still send it to Nebraska or some other office? Since I dont know the location where my I-485 file is located as of now.

Any one who has renewed to AP/EAD after being called for interview at local office if they can give me any direction on this would be great. I asked my lawyer the same question he doesnt seem to have an answer as yet.

Thanks for sharing your experience of on line filling for Advance Parole.

I thought I should mention that I got my AP papers on May 22, 2009 that is just under one month after my application (4/24) and sending them a letter with following documents –

1. Bio metric page of Passport, (I guess photo copy of drivers license is also acceptable)
2. I 797 action notice for your 485 application to prove your 485 is pending
3. Two passport size photos
4. Confirmation receipt received after e-filling for AP.

Hi,
couple of confusing questions regarding AP (I-131) renewal using E-File. As I am using E-File first time, I would appreciate help very much.

1. Do we need to Send the pictures along with the application first time itself or need to wait to hear from USCIS for the pictures?
2. Reading this thread, I came out with a list of things that I need to send with my e-file application. Please correct me if I missed something or if I am sending too much.....

a) (Color photocopy of) Biomatric pages of Passport
b) Photocopy of I-485 (I-797)
c) Completed application printout
d) 2 PP ??????
e) Photocopy of old AP ????

Part 7. Complete only if applying for an Advance Parole.

On a separate piece of paper, please explain how you would qualify for an Advance Parole and what circumstances warrant issuance of Advance Parole. Include copies of any documents you wish considered. (See instructions.)

Also, do we need to send Passport Pictures right away with the application or wait for USCIS letter?

For your first query: Write a letter stating why you would need AP.. You can write something like you would want to visit your family (for marriages, medical emergencies, other reasons and as well to be with family members for vacation etc).. anything you think is a reason can go here..

for the second query: You can send the PP photos along with your supporting documents. It should expedite the process as well as first time AP needs PP photo sent..

You can sign on on behalf of your son and you can place (father/mother) next to it.. This won't need a G28 form.

You can send 2 passport photos along with your other documents.. Since it is the first time, you wont have old AP and no need to send it also ()

What is the fee for each applicant, 305 + 80??

I have a travel coming up and I think I have to shell out $1000 bucks now (for 3 of us)
