I have a unique situation with address..
My current address is different than my permanent address.. So, the copy of the license copy will not serve as an evidence of current address. Any suggestions what can i do in this situation?

You should be able to change the address on your DL by contacting your DMV. I did mine last year, it was done in a week.

So that means I'll have to change my insurance and tags too for my car... since the two addresses are in different states...

Is it a must to send the license copy? because under instructions it says..

All applications must include a copy of an official photo identity document showing your photo, name, and date of birth. (Example: a valid government-issued driver's license; passport identity page; Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card; or any other official identity document.) The copy must clearly show the photo and identity information. A Form I-94, Arrival/Departure Document, is not acceptable as a photo identity document.

So do you think if i just send a coupy of my passport and not send the license.. it should be ok?

send in copy of passport identity pages (does not matter if the address is different).
