EAD eFile - Supporting Documents Thread

Hi Guys,

For those who applied for EAD using eFile, please post information on supporting documents you sent.

Any other info on post-eFile of EAD is welcome.

Edit:

Prepared the following documents today along with a cover letter -

Copy of the Confirmation Receipt notice
Copy of Current EAD (Front & Back)
Copy of I-485 receipt
Copies of I485 Case Transfer notices if any
Copy of Cut out mailer of previous EAD Approval.
Copy of I-94
Copy of Passport (which has Bio-graphic data)
Copy of Drivers License


Important: YOU DONT HAVE TO SEND PICTURES


I intend to send mine and my spouse's documents seperately.

Update: Got my receipt (and my spouse's) from TSC today. (Exactly after a week).

Thanks Dhudhun, your thread was very helpful. Created this one so we could just focus on the Supporting documents for eFile EAD. (USCIS site does not talk about it at all).

My I-486 Receipt Notice was lost in mail. So I don't have the Receipt notice to send.

This is for an EAD Renewal.

Is it ok if I don't send the I-485 Receipt copy ?

I sent the following:

1) Confirmation Receipt of application
2) Copy of I 485 receipt
3) Front and back copy of current EAD card
4) A copy of the cut out that the current EAD came in

I don't think you need anything else. If you look at it theoretically I-94 and passport, drivers license has nothing to do with an EAD card approval or denial.

Are you talking about I485? This document is mandatory - why don't you either ask your lawyer for a copy or call up USCIS and explain the case. I think there is an email address that folks here can share with you.

Another option would be to send your Online status (from USCIS website), either way - I recommend you get your I485 receipt and then scan all your documents and email it to yourself for future use.

Aah_GC: Lawyer might not have received it from USCIS otherwise irrational would not be writing it here Many who filed during July 07 fiasco have not received the 485 receipt notices (lost in mail) from USCIS.

irrational: For EAD renewal, you can use your biometric notice as a proof of filing for I-485 to extend EAD and you make sure give correct A# on the form , with this USCIS should be able to pull your records. Also write a cover letter stating that you have not received the 485 receipt notice from USCIS, thats it. Nothing to worry, Go ahead and file without 485 receipt notice copy.

I just have the FRONT side copy of the EAD stored.
Why do we need the BACK side of the copy?

It is mentioned specifically in the 765 instructions ... see on Pg 6
