I think so.
I am back to USA last week after a brief trip(second return with AP). Officer took the existing stamped AP ( which was stamped last time ) and added new stamp next to the existing stamp, extending it to another year from the date of entry (7/2009) irrespective of the validity of the AP(09/2008). |

The AP is valid only until June 22nd 2008.....after that you will have to use your renewed AP to get into the country. The Dec 2008 stamp on the AP and I-94 means is that you are parolled until Dec 2008.

Okay .. so looks like I need to renew the AP. I will do that. What does " means that you are parolled until Dec 2008" mean? Thanks V |

Quote:
"Paroled until- "mm/dd/yyyy" Staying beyond this stamped date does not affect your status in anyway- because you can stay in the US until a decision has been made on your I485. Before 2002- when one entered the country on AP - they used to stamp the PP/I94 as "Paroled - indefinetly". They changed this in 2002 and ever since they only stamp it for a year. If you ask me - the new rule doesnt make sense because ur stay does not depend on your "I94" anyways as once you are paroled and considered an "adjustment of status" candidate....... The bottom line is that you have to renew your AP before you travel out of the country- irrespective of your date stamped on your I-94. hope i clarified what you were asking.........
