Default EAD Approved , But has wrong Sex column in EAD card

Hello All,
I have applied for EAD on Feb 16 for myself and for my wife, Yesterday we got our EAD Cards.

In my Wifes EAD sex was "M" instead of femal. That was my mistake when I applied online. When I have sent supporting docs, I have mentioned in the cover letter that entered wrong sex column in the form. Requesting them to update the form. Looks like it didn't happend.
My Questions
1) Can we request USCIS to update and send us different card
2) Can I ignore the mistake and start using the EAD. Will it create any problem in the future.

Please need your advice.

Thanks

infopass can help for these issues as it is no brainer. Talk to an Attorney if you want to know whether the EAD is valid for work. I guess it should be, but better talk with an Attorney.

What's easier?? getting the change done on EAD Card or really changing sex to match it with EAD card????

Don't mind, No offense meant!! just trying to find some humor....

Thumbs up my experience

Talk to your Attroney how to proceed but let me share my experience.

Happened 2 yrs ago, I had incorrect date in my EAD card so I contacted USCIS customer service regd this error, they asked me to send the original EAD card back to them with new EAD application (photo, all supporting documents for EAD, etc. just like applying for a new EAD you need to send all docs with your original EAD except the fees) and they said if it is their mistake then they will send a new EAD card otherwise they will charge me.

Usually they check your earlier EAD application to conclude whether it is your mistake in application or their data entry mistake. So I verified with my attroney about this procedure and they sent my application to USCIS. I got a new one after few weeks (no charge), but took almost a month.

So call USCIS or get Infopass, and ask for the latest procedure since the above happened 2 years ago. Also verify with your attroney. Keep photocopy of EAD document and all the documents that you are sending to them.

Also in the package that I sent, I kept a letter explaining the error and listed all the documents that I sent. Also I kept a photocopy of my EAD card and circled the error so that the USCIS officer can notice it easily.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi
I have recently applied EAD last month Feb 19 2009. And received on Mar 13, 2009. Even though I paid new fees I have got card valid for only ONE year. Can infopass and 1800NUMBER will help in this?

This is my first EAD and USCIS stop giving 2 years ?

Thanks....

Thanks Arnet, I'll take info pass. and check them, It's my mistake not USCIS mistake, I'll send the check along with the application and supporting docs.

Default Help

Hi Arnet or anyone who can help,

Photos on my EAD card and my wife's EAD card have been swapped by USCIS. I am sending them a new form to correct the problem. Can you please suggest in the point 11 of I-765 which EAD card information should I provide? Point 11 ask you whether you have applied EAD card before and which center/ Date/ Status etc....should I fill the details accotding to the EAD that has incorrect photo or should I fill the information in point 11 based on the previous EAD (which is still valid from 2010 to 2012)?
