I-485 RFE Gold Sheet

My case had an RFE, which was sent to my attorney and i was copied on it. The lawyer has yet to receive it but we have our copy delivered yesterday. It is about incomplete Medical exam which we completed and are ready to send a response. I had few questions

1. Do we need a lawyer to respond to this RFE ? my spouse has quit his job and the lawyer who filled I-485 does not represent our case (and we are yet to appoint a new lawyer).
2. They send Some Gold Sheet with Original RFE, can we respond to RFE without this Gold Sheet ?
3. Any way we can ask for this Gold Sheet in case the original lawyer did not get the RFE ?

I have received one like that in a different scenario which was about the G-325 Biographic Information form for my son as he turned 14 during the processing period.

I also have received the Gold letter which I replied by sending that along with teh required information and was updated on USCIS side that they have received it and started processing again.

Even my attorney said that I can reply myself when i asked him about that which I did.
