Filing I-485, EAD/AP on own without lawyer's help

It may sound very weird questions but since we are doing on our own ,we want to be sure that it is acceptable at least.
We really appreciate if someone can answer or send us any link where all these querries are answered.

W2, Tax Return , Pay stub is not mandatory... But lot of our self-filers supplied all of them.

Personally i just attached 4 recent PAY STUBS - just 4 pages doesn't hurt.
They kind of validates your current employer name etc... misc things...

Where is our reference point ? Please advise

2. Second important question is Labor Certification; I have 140 approved and I attach it as supporting document. Do I still need to add Labor Cert. approval.
I don't even have it tough. Please comment

Zbd,

I too have read the instructions - a number of times , and it doesn't ask for all pages of the passport, nor does it ask for a copy of your labor.

I would suggest you provide:
1. A copy of your I-140 approval notice.
2. A copy of Visa issued in the last one year

If your visa was not issued in the last year, then as an addtional document you can provide its copy.

Read the instructions carefully, and make sure you have what they want. Then think about the additional stuff people are putting in their application.

This is from the USCIS site form the I 485 instructionshet attached to the form. Clearly tals about I 140 approved copy or I 140 receipt notice and Labou approval copy.

I have paper I got from attorney along with 140 approval notice.
Paper is coming from US dept. of labor and has ETA case number on it.
Showing Priority date and occupation, alien's name.

It says: Form ETA 9089 has been certified and is enclosed. Tis certification must be attached to the I-140 petition and filed with appropiate office of USCIS.

Problem is there is no ENCLOSED paper.
Is this the one Labor certification it self or Should I have some other document ?

I already have 140 approval and receipt.

Please advise.

Dude, Relax. If you have a copy of the I-140 approval notice, you do not need a copy of your labor certification.

Friends please help me with some of the question for filling 485.

1. Consulate where Visa is issued? My Visa was issued in USA back in 2003 when revailidations were allowed in US. So what should I write here. The Visa Shows 'DEPARTMENT'

2. Is there anything like the whole form needs to be filled in CAPS letters?

3. Should I leave A# Blank or as None?

4. In what status did you last enter US? My wife entered US in H4 in 2005 and then converted to H1B in 2006. So what should I write here? Is it 'DEPENDENT' or H4?

5. Format of covering letter if any needed?

My attorney sent to Nebraska even though my I 140 was approved from Texas . I am filing 485 alone and my employer was based out of Boston MA
Is it correct ????any one filed like that ?

I have certified translation of my Marriage and birth certificate.

Can I send photocopy of them or should I send originals on which you can feel the stamp ?

How about G-325 for kids under 10 ? I think it's not necessary for them

Last one is how to sign 485 forms by kids under 10 years ? We sign for them or they do (like they print their name)

AFAIK:
- I sent photocopies of all translations/affidavits and lawyers were ok with that. Might get an RFE later (*IF* they accept the app for processing), dont know. If you choose to send copies keep the originals carefully. If you have originals might as well send them. (in my case they are still in India, my folks scanned and sent me copies)

- The I-485 instructions (page 3) say that G-325 is only if you are between 14-79 years old.

- you should sign for your kids.
