Default Self-filed AP RFE

Hi Experts,

My wife applied for her Advanced Parole and the following shows up on her status online. What are the typical RFEs that folks have been getting? The USCIS rec'd the supporting documents and this appeared the next day. She has her own approved I-140 so she is not a dependent.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please advise.

Thanks.

Default

it could also be biometric appointments

" The new inproved status reporting website" sometimes makes the FP request seem like RFE. you should get it in a few days and if thedate on the notice is the date on the wesite then that is probably it and you will never receive an actual RFE.

Default photos and id

I also received an RFE recently and it was for photos and copy of ID. I had sent these to USCIS after I e-filed, but it seems they lost it.

Default Template and phone options

Thank you all for your feedback.

Can you guys also help me on the following fronts:

1. What are the phone options that I press after dialing 1-800-375-5283 to talk to an IO to get more details about the RFE?
2. For self-filed AP, how do you respond to an RFE? Is there a template?

Thanks.

I think the list you have above is for the initial filing of I-485, AP and EAD together.

If you are just applying for AP renewal then this is the list. Please read carefully: This list below is for "AP renewal" only.

1.Confirmation Receipt for e-filed Travel Document (I-131)
2.Two photographs (put A# on the back) - Make sure that it conforms to USCIS guidelines.
3.Copy of pending I-485 Receipt Notice
4.Copy of Previous Travel Document, if any
5.Copy of I-140 approval notice
6.Copy of I-94
7.Copy of current EAD card
8.Copy of old expired passport, if any
9.Copy of current passport
10.Copy of H1-B approval notice, if any
11.Copy of Driver License
12. You can add paystubs, but I did not add

Hope this helps.

Thanks
You do not need to keep AP continuous. I do it because I may have to travel at a short notice. I use AP as a back-up since I already have H1-B. I am too risk averse.

You can apply it in March 2010 per your plan. If I were you, I would do 4 months in advance...just to be safe.

Hi, I have a couple of questions -

1. If the dependent is applying for AP, then is it necessary to include a copy of the primary applicant's I-485 receipt?
2. Also, when applying for AP, why is a copy of EAD required?

Thanks!
