L1A to I-485 spouse question

I am a senior executive who transferred with my US MNC from India on a L1-A visa this year. I suppose I will come under the EB-1 (Multinational Exec/ Manager category) when I apply for my GC...which usually doesn't pose too many problems.

I will be applying for the I-140 in Dec 09.
I will go to India to get married in mid-Jan 2010. After which I will come back to US to apply for the I-485 - as soon as the I-140 is approved (Jan/Feb)

My employer will be helping me with the process

QUESTIONS
1. Do I just put my newly wed wife's name on MY (primary applicant) I-485 ...or do I have to turn in a seperate form for her.

2. Does my newly wed wife have to be in the US when I apply for the 1-485 ?

3. When can she join me in the US...and on what visa ? She has never been to the US before.

She will have to enter US with L2 visa. After the marriage is registered She needs to apply L2 visa in nearest US consulate.
She will have to be here in US to file the I-485.
There will be separate I-485 application for spouse.

Important thing is you need to get married before your I-485 approval.

Since you are EB1 and dates are current you can go for Consular processing which will be faster approach.

Assuming I go to India to get married in Feb and come back to US and apply for MY I-485in Feb/March. If my wife can't be in the US till May, then can she file her I 485 from India ?

Else what options are there ?
