Receipting by USCIS is extremely slow-Report by www.immigrantconnect.com

Our office had one more set of checks for an EB case filed in Nebraska on July 2, 2007 that were processed by our bank. From our experience and what other lawyers are saying, the USCIS receipting of these cases is extremely slow. Another Receipting Update from the USCIS should be released today. My guess is there has not been much progress since last week. I will post the latest Update as soon as it becomes available. yeah..I 've been waiting for the update too..I think the last update was on 10th but not released until 13th - but I may be wrong...
so I gathered that they could release the update on Monday - and yet dtaed 17th aug.. just my take...hope they release it today...

It will take more than 2 months to even get receipts based on the SLUGGISH progress of USCIS. Let alone the normal processing of 485/131/765 etc.

I got following from my attorney's office today,
"Still no receipts yet, USCIS is very slowly starting to send out receipts for these cases so perhaps we will receive something soon. We have not received receipts for the vast majority of the cases we filed at the same time as yours so not to worry. I'll keep you posted."
