485 Receipts with LIN08 (Fiscal yr 08)

Hi,

Does any one have their 485 receipts starting with LIN08***. I am July 2nd filer. After a long wait my checks have been caseshed yesterday. I got all the receipt numbers from back of the checks. But when I try to see the status, I get the following error message.

Lawyer's thoughts on this: They should not however start with LIN08, as they should be considered as LIN07 cases since they were filed during the 2007 fiscal year, so it may be that an error was made by the USCIS in this regard and they are in the process of correcting it. We will have to wait for the actual receipts to arrive to see if there is a different case number.

Filed on July 19th, 2007 and got the number from the back of the cashed checks last week(Oct. 17th). Cannot check online status now(errors) up to today(Oct.22). The case number looks like: SRC080105****

I got a LIN-08 though my I-140 was approved at TSC. Anyway, my Receipt # works just fine when I go online. I don't think they will bother to correct the 08 to 07 because this will mean another wave of paper work.

Just wait for one more week and your data will be in the online system.

It usually takes a couple of days before the online system can read the receipt numbers.

Mine starts with SRC0801***. It is not available online yet, and it has been 3 bus. days since the checks were encashed.

July 2nd Filer Reciepts as SRC08013*****, I think it is nothing to do with recieved Date, It is the day when the reciepts got generated.

My Case status is not yet available on online.

As far as I understand, 08 is the fiscal year, not the calendar year and it started on Oct 1, 2007. I got all my receipts with 08 (EAC08 coz they were generated at Vermont)

How much time it takes to recieve the reciepts once the checks are cashed. My checks are cashed on Oct 10.

I inquired USCIS about this. You would receive the receipts in a week or so. But, it may never be available on-line. that's waht I was told. Th pattern I could find here is that, All the Rec # 's with 08 SRC08/LIN08 are not available online. And will never be...

I can see ours ... and i know a couple of people who can as well ... I think its just the time between generating the # and entering into the CRIS database
