I have a question for all of you. Did you file concurently i-140 and i-485 ?
or your I-140 is still pending ? or recently approved? If yes I think it is taking more time than those who got i-140 approved 2 months before. Any one of your i-140 is approved 3-4 months before? and still on the same boat?

concurrent filing, 140 approved on 6/6/07 (premium process).

I would like to know that for I-485/AP/EAD, do the copies (passport, marraige certificate, etc.) have to be attested (notarized) or simply just copies of the original is good enough?

Also, for the affadavits by parents, do we need to send the originals to USCIS or a copy of the affadavit would work?

My I-140 was approved from NSC last month (MAY)

The only thing to be Notarized is I-134 , affidavit of support.
All other copies; this country works on Honors system and beleif.

But some have said, their attorneys have asked and submitted original birth and marriage affidavits. I submitted and they filed on copies only.

My lawyer is saying the affadavits will have to be attested...others should be ok.

No at that time according to June visa bulletin date was o1Jun03. Check the bulletin.

received by attorney on Oct 3rd 2005; retrogression kicked on Oct 1st 2005. By god's grace, same job, same employer, same project, same client. Can anybody beat that?

Filed I-485 on Jun 8th 2007. PD is Nov 2001 EB3 In.

When will I get Receipt and FP?

In the absence of your lawyer I would call the service center phone number and ask. If not get an infopass appointment at your local office which can normally be arranged within a couple of days and go and ask them. Be pro active this is your future not the lawyers.

Same response here. Only the affidavit of support had to be notarized. Other documents, photocopies OK.

Question - My spouse is on F1b visa. Would I have any issues in filing for his adjustment of status as he is on F1b. Some of the lawyers are saying that F1b is not for dual intend and that's why they cannot file for him. Please advice.

The dates moved to June 1, 2003 per the JUNE'07 bulletin. That meant people could file the application starting JUNE 1, 2007 but not before that. You seem to have filed May 24th but your PD became current only on June 1. Am I missing something?

Right, according to *June* visa bulletin, so you can only file on or after June 01, but you filed on 5/24. Or I understood the visa bulletin wrong?
