I see no reason why you cant move to permanent offer.

NO. It shouldn't create an issue. The key is to "have the guarantee of a same or similar position available for you on permanent basis" at the time of RFE. How many jobs you changed before that is not of a concern.
But t is very important that you act quickly. When you deal with a big employer, the bureaucratic delays can kill weeks quickly, and you will find getting late for your RFE reply. Contact the employer with "permanent offer" and let them know of the urgency, get in touch with their lawyer, and get the letter framed ASAP. You dont even have to start working with them before sending the letter. The other option is to get the "employment verification" from your current consulting employer. The only advantage I see here is "probably" time. Last edited by morchu; 04-23-2009 at 02:54 AM. |

If thats the case 1) work with your lawyer on AC21 filing. make sure he has done it before and he know what he would be doing. 2) Its good that you have already talked to your new employer about the GC letter. 3) More than likely your RFE would be related to medical. Thats what the trend is these days. If thats indeed the case get your medical exam stuff. 4) Along with your medical RFE keep the AC21 papers as well. Check this thread out... http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/sh...ad.php?t=24601 (Changed jobs not filed AC21 paper and now have a RFE) Its what I did when RFE came. Hopefully this would be it. Good luck. PS - This is just a suggestion. Read more and do what you think will be best for you.
