Practically not much.

If FP is for EAD, one is likely to get EAD soon with fingerprints.

If FP is for GC, it usually gets OK in 2-10 days and then there will be a soft LUD. GC application remains in pending state for Priority Date, Processing Date and Name Check (now there is NC override of six months).

FP is not a bottleneck, except for few cases - they have not received FP notices for the past 8-10 months.

It is expected that Priority Date and Processing Date will be cause of delays

How can you check that FBI namecheck has cleared? Call the FBI? I see quite a few people with date of the FBI namecheck on their sig.

Did anybody had expierence that they missed a appointment for any reason. What to do next? Go to center and request for reschedule or call national service center?

Actually FP has nothing to do whatsoever with Name Check or when it is initiated. Name Check is a separate process that usually starts within a couple of weeks after you Notice Date. You can check when it is initiated with an Infopass or by talking to a service center IIO on the phone.

Hard LUD = status changed, if registered, email will be sent.

2. Add cases to your portfolio, in list display it will have the following columns
....Receipt Number
....E-mail
....Last Updated (by USCIS)
....Form #
....Title

The Last Updated above is LUD.

I saw your profile. You are from Nepal.

As far as Soft LUD is concerned, there should be one or two after finger printing. (Refer to http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/sh...ad.php?t=18737 (EAD e-filing experiences (EB)) for EAD cases).

Your priority date is current.
I hope that they must have sent for Name Check long ago - this should not be blocking.
What about processing date (Aug 24, 2007 is receipt date)? There was memo from USCIS that it may take over 18 months for processing date to come around Aug 2007. Your I485 i.e. GC can be blocked by processing date.

For example today Nebraska is processing EB based I-485 Application of July 14, 2007. I heard that in a month there was just a change of three days. For Texas, keep on looking at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Pro...viceCenter=TSC
