Default does parole stamp superceds Advance Parole doc date?

I have an Advance Parole that expires in December 19, 2007. On the bottom right portion of the AP document, the officer at port of entry has stamped and indicated "Paroled until 5/5/2008" last time I entered the US with this AP. I'd like to travel again with this AP, as my renewed one hasn't been renewed yet. I am wondering whether the officer's parole stamp supercedes the document's date or not? I have the receipt notice for the pending renewal of AP, but don't have my current/renewed H1-B stamp in the passport since last time I traveled just came back with the AP.

Thanks

I entered using AP. At the POE, the officer mentioned that DONOT go by the stamp date. The AP document expires as mentioned on the document. So by this particular case, the expiry date is December 19th.

Hope this helps.

Default Regarding stampled Advance Parole document

Hey guys,
I know this is a very old forum but I couldnt find any other place to ask my question so please bear with me and help me!!!!

My wife recently traveled outside the United States on an advanced parole. She had 2 copies of the parole papers and when she entered back to US, the officer stamped on one of them and gave it back to her and he took the other copy. Now she is only left with one advanced parole which is stamped and it is says "paroled until Oct 2010". We will be travelling back soon in November and so I guess I have the following questions

1. Can she travel on a stamped advance parole?
2. If not, will she have to apply for a new advance parole?
3. Why did the officer take the other copy of the parole? I thought they give you multiple copies just in case if you want to travel multiple times in and out of US in a year.

I would really appreciate your quick response as time is an essence here.

Thanks much

The Avance parole is valid until it was issued by USCIS, not until it is tamped at the Port of Entry.
You can travel on the existing, stamped AP until that date.

If you are planning to travel after that date or return after that date, you need to get a new AP.

If the stamped parole doc is still not expired (the actual expiry date printed on the doc and not he stamped date), then you do not need anything else. But if the expiry date has already passed, you need a new one.
You need to take your stamped original copy for your next travel (with unexpired date), and not the unstamped additional copy (even though original).
