Default Using AP for entry at Houston (IAH) for the first time

I am using AP for the first time for re-entry. My Port of Entry is Houston (IAH).

1. Can anyone share their experiences at IAH. I will be carrying my AP notices, I-485 receipt and Employment letter.

2. I have a connecting flight in an hour. Is this enough to go through the immigration?

Please let me know!

Thanks

Default Ap

I have used AP last year at IAH. They will escort you inside the office (rather than clearing you at the immigration counter). They will take your passport and AP will ask you to seat on waiting area chair inside the office. After sometimes, they will stamp on your AP and will return you one copy and passport back and let you go. (I don't remember, but I think they will keep one AP with themselves).
I think the documents you have mentioned are enough. Just in case, you may need to take your some of the latest pay sleep, last year tax return (just for the safety).

I have travelled thro' Houston via AP atleast 5 times. It takes about 20-30 mins at an average. You might get lucky and get your connection but I doubt it if you have bags to re-check in

Default Depends on time

I think it depends on the specific time and rush. Sometimes it may be faster, but I would prefer to request the officer, in this scenario, to make it faster in case it is taking long.

This won't help. I requested officer to speed up since I had to catch connecting flight, he said that it was my fault for not keeping at least 3 hrs gap between the flights. I was there for special registration. I ended up missing the flight and had to do hotel stay at my own expense for the next day available flight.

They did it me in spite of having the Green card for 4 years. During 2005 November coming from India to Minneapolis Airport, Some Chinese officer held me for 2 hours for no reason. I ended up missing connecting flight. AP or Green card situation is same.
