My wife applied AP last week, and the check was cashed. Unexpectedly my mother-in-law's condition took a turn to the worse. We are asked by relatives to leave for China immediately.

My wife is absolutely devastated. On top of this, she has to deal with the long wait for AP. Based on the info shared in this forum, her AP is at least 3 to 4 weeks away.

Can we apply for emergency AP at the local office in this case? What about the application that's already in the system?

Any advice is very much appreciated.....

Visit any local office. You need to have proof of evidence of your emergency. Your previous application will become invalid if they issue AP at local office. You also need to carry photos with you
